You may recall just before Christmas I popped into Sheffield, Attercliffe more specifically for Jazz on the Cliffe. I was meeting some of my blogging pals for a night of Jazz music filled with the loveliest selection of fusion tapas all in the unlikely location of the old Library in Attercliffe, just right behind the EIS. As the name suggest the cafe/bar is located in the oldest library in Sheffield dating back to 1894. Every Thursday night the Library hosts Jazz on the Cliffe, the perfect place to chill with friends, have a cocktail or two and listen to some amazing jazz.
The venue is beautiful, with quirky decor dotted about, world globes, candles, the comfiest arm chairs (like honestly I didn’t want to get out of it!) and of course lots of books! You feel like you are sat in someone living room all the while the lovely staff bring you food and the talented musicians play away! As someone who is completely tone-deaf I just love listening to live music.
Right onto the food because you know, it’s important! First up we were served a bread and olives platter which was so delicious and went down a treat whilst we all nattered and caught up! Following on from that we were served a selection of tapas. Everything was so tasty, my personal favourites were the garlic bread with goats cheese and jalapeno and the meatballs in red wine sauce. The whole menu is so well thought through with loads of choice for everyone vegetarians and vegans included! Click here to take a look at the full menu. I also love that you can see into the kitchen and watch all the food getting prepared.
We had such a lovely night the staff were so welcoming and I can’t wait to head back!
If you’re looking for somewhere new to try pop in. It’s only 2 mins from Meadowhall and the perfect place for a day time meeting or some night-time fun with friends!
Thank you to Hannah for the invite. Our food and drinks on the night were complimentary but as always all opinions are my own.
